  2. Equipment material

The disc filter unit is made of reinforced polyamide plastic, which is anti-corrosion and wear-resistant, and can withstand the working pressure of 1MPa.

3. Filter disc distinction

The filtration function of the disc filter is completed by the internal filter disc. The user can choose the filter disc with different precision according to the water requirements. In order to facilitate installation and use, different specifications of filter discs are distinguished by different colors, and the colors are as follows (in industrial applications, the filtration accuracy is generally required to be 5~50 microns, so only some specifications are listed here):

4. Combination form

The disc filter is mainly composed of a combination of disc filter units. The disc filter unit is distinguished by the diameter of the inlet and outlet pipes. There are mainly three categories: 2", 3", and 4". There are different forms.

2”DY-2～10: 2～10 2” filter units are arranged in combination. Such as 2DY-5

3"DY-3~10: 3~10 3" filter units are arranged in combination. Such as 3DY-7

4”DY-3～10: 3～10 4” filter units connected in parallel

 Equipment selection 

  1. The selection of the disc filter is mainly to determine the filter system composed of the type and number of filter heads.

  2. This depends on three factors: raw water quality, filtration level, and demand flow. (Please refer to "Disc Filter System Application Reference")

1) Raw water quality: divided into four categories: excellent, average, poor, and very poor

A. Excellent water quality: uncontaminated urban tap water, well water drawn from stable aquifers;

B. General water quality: circulating cooling water, tap water with poor water quality, ground water treated by sedimentation, drainage after effective sedimentation and complete biological treatment;

C. Poor water quality: groundwater pumped from aquifers with poor water quality, drainage that has undergone effective sedimentation but no or little biological treatment, and surface water with microbial blooms;

D. Poor water quality: well water with high iron content or dirty, unsettled surface water affected by floods, river water or other surface water with high suspended solids content, untreated drainage.

(In order to ensure the effect, such water quality must be pretreated, and an auxiliary sand remover can be used, and the content of suspended solids in the influent water can reach 1400g/L; when the water quality is more complex - such as high iron and manganese content - it must be exposed to pretreatment such as gas or flocculation)

2) The filtration level directly determines the application of water. The same set of equipment may have very different water production capacity under different filtration levels. Please refer to the application section on page 1 of the main text for the recommended filter grades for different applications.

 Equipment material 

The disc filter unit is made of reinforced polyamide plastic, which is anti-corrosion and wear-resistant, and can withstand a working pressure of 1 MPa. The filter disc is made of polypropylene plastic EPDM sealed. There are three types of stainless steel; the valve has a plastic valve or a metal valve; the system is provided with a multi-function control panel.
